About the Event

Where the travel creator industry gathers

Traverse is Europe’s leading conference for travel content creators, tourism boards, and destination brands. Each year we bring together the people shaping how the world discovers new places.

Traverse 26 is a full week of events starting with the pre-conference Midweek Experiences in and around Hamburg. Followed by two days of expert conference talks, seminars and workshops, finishing off with curated press trips across Germany.

The Destination

Why Hamburg & Germany in 2026

Hamburg is one of Europe’s most exciting and underrated cities – a port city with a creative edge, world-class food, a thriving arts scene, and some of the best nightlife on the continent. It’s a destination with real stories to tell.

Beyond Hamburg, Germany offers extraordinary diversity for travel creators – from the alpine beauty of Bavaria to the Rhine Valley, the Baltic coast to the creative energy of Berlin. A destination that goes far beyond the obvious.

  • Hamburg – a port city like no other
  • World-class food, culture & nightlife
  • Diverse landscapes from Alps to coastline
  • Rich history, architecture & design
  • Outstanding transport & infrastructure

This event is delivered in partnership with the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), the organisation responsible for promoting Germany as a travel destination worldwide.

FAQs

Still deciding?

Here’s what most first-time attendees ask before booking.

Who is Traverse for?
Traverse is for travel content creators at any stage – whether you’re just starting out or have a large established audience. If you create content about travel across any platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, blogs, podcasts), Traverse is built for you.
I don’t have a huge following – is this still for me?
Yes. Traverse has always been about the craft and business of travel content creation, not follower counts. Many attendees are early in their journey, and sessions span beginner, intermediate and expert levels so there’s genuinely something for everyone.
What’s actually included in my ticket?
One ticket covers the whole week: all four days of Midweek Experiences, both days of the main conference (40+ sessions, talks, workshops and seminars), lunches and refreshments on conference days, food and drink throughout the Midweek Experiences and evening events, plus the Opening and Closing Parties and evening socials.
I’m coming alone – will I know anyone?
Most people come solo, and that’s genuinely part of the magic. Traverse is built around community – from the Welcome Meetup on day one to evening socials throughout the week, you’ll be meeting people constantly. Many long-term friendships (and collaborations) started at a Traverse event.
Do I need to attend the Midweek Experiences too, or just the conference?
Your ticket includes both, and we’d really encourage joining the Midweek Experiences if you can. It’s a brilliant way to explore Hamburg, ease into the week, and get to know people before the conference sessions start – rather than walking into a room of strangers on day one.
What kind of content will I come away with?
Beyond the conference learning itself, the Midweek Experiences (harbour cruise, Elbphilharmonie tour, food and drink workshops, Hamburg Art Mile and more) are designed specifically to give you great content opportunities in a destination most creators haven’t covered yet.
How much does it cost, and is it worth it?
Pricing increases as the event gets closer, so booking earlier gets you the best rate. Compared to the cost of travel, learning, networking and content opportunities packed into one week, most attendees see it pay for itself many times over in the connections and opportunities that follow.
Do I need to arrange my own flights and accommodation?
Yes, flights and accommodation aren’t included in the ticket, but we share recommended hotel options and travel guidance to make planning easy.
What if I can’t attend the full week?
The ticket is for full access across the week, but we understand not everyone can make every day. Come for as much as your schedule allows – even just the two conference days is a great experience.
I’m nervous about going to an event like this on my own – is that normal?
Completely normal, and something almost every first-time attendee feels. Traverse has a strong reputation for being a welcoming, low-ego community – people are there to make friends and help each other, not network aggressively. Most people say the nerves disappear within the first hour.
